Subject: Beans that normally go west

Are now going east.

The beans in the western and upper Midwest that are raised to ship to China have to find a home somewhere and that somewhere is south and east. All of the eastern belt farmers who earlier this year that were telling those farmers in the upper Midwest that they simply needed to find a different crop to grow are starting to feel the effects of how basis works in a lack of demand market.

Basis will get better for you when it gets better for the western belt. IE when trade war ends

Edit note ---it is said that trains can move one ton of freight almost 500 miles on a gallon of fuel. Add in labor for a three day turn on the train and there is good money to be made.
