NE Kent County, MI | Ran on Deere rtk network last year and accuracy’s weren’t as good as what I was looking for due to distance to base station & tree lines. I purchased a used sf3000 rtk receiver and am thinking about setting up a mobile base station in a couple different areas. I will put a post in the ground to set receiver on in one location and the other I have a building or grain bin that I can setup on. What all do I need to pull this off? Will a 12 volt car battery with leads supply enough power to run the receiver for a day? If I set up the receiver before season starts and let it lock in it’s location can I manually enter in the coordinates subsequent times to save time. Was told that it takes 24 hours for receiver to get locked in. Do I need to have a monitor at the mobile base or can I run it through tractor screen? Deere ams guy hasn’t been very helpful on this. TIA
Edit: This is for row crop cultivating.
