I farm in your WC Indiana area. 1/2 18 production sealed in multiple bins. Next green day gets all down to the sump. Balance at sump will be the "big news" rally bushels. Same with corn. Basis is better than harvest. Elevators basis this fall resembled GAS prices on 9/11. With that said I have no faith in a beneficial trade deal 0ccuring. Best we can hope for is a retreat on tariffed incoming goods, and a consilitory removal of soybean tarriffs. China might just stick a finger in the wound for added pain and purchase Russian crops instead of relieving our surplus in case of any Brazilian shortfall.
That's my plan. At this point handing over option money is as bad as storing at the elevator under DP.
