Subject: Streaming UAN on Corn

SW Ohio
This year will be my first growing corn. Looking at my options for side dressing nitrogen, I have heard a few people say they use stream nozzles on a sprayer to apply UAN over 6-10 inch tall corn. Anyone have experience with this? I was thinking of using some of the 3 hole StreamJet nozzles to apply about 30 gal/ac of UAN. Guessing it will burn the corn, but does it grow out of it pretty well?
Just trying to figure out the most cost effective way to cover a small number of acres, I have a pull type sprayer but no other application equipment. I know I could pay someone to do it but I'm guessing my 60 acres in little fields won't be high on their priority list.
Thanks!
