That would certainly explain it. As I recall when you make a boundary, there is an option to offset it to the left or right by a certain distance. (45' in your case). Otherwise the system will assume that the edge of the field is the middle of the rig. To decide whether to chose left or right, ask yourself which way is the actual boundary from where you are sitting. If the boundary or line fence would be to your left, choose left. This should make the boundary closer to the actual boundary and the field size within more accurate.
