Subject: Memories from 1967

Newfane NY
The day the brand new 806 and 5 bottom plow was delivered. $7,100 for both. I learned to plow on that tractor. Traded it off in 1985 for a Case 2290. Stupidest thing that ever happened on this Farm.

Dad told Mom at supper that he had bought a new tractor. The next day Mom I and my sister went to the international harvester dealer and she bought a 102 Cub Cadet. She said if Dad can buy a new tractor she can have a new lawn mower oh, she was tired of walking the lawn. That night after supper was all over she told Dad to look under his plate. He wanted to know what this was and she said quote if you can have a new tractor I can have a new lawn mower end of quote. All he said was okay and then proceeded to eat his chocolate cake for dessert. I remember that couple days like I just lived it yesterday.
