Subject: Spreading lime on frozen ground

NWPA
We normally spread lime in the fall or before tillage work in the spring but you know how this fall went. Anyway we are getting lime delivered this week and looks like the ground should freeze up nice by mid to late week. Most of the entire farm is on a knoll of a hill and a small piece is steep. Should I be concerned about spreading on hard frozen ground, biggest fear would be to get a big rain on frozen ground. This lime is being trucked the entire way across the state because we need dolomitic lime so I have a decent amount of money tied up into it. Any thoughts would be appreciated hate to sit and wait because we are going to have an extra busy spring. Thanks
