i have a cheaper h&s rake. the one that folds upward, not forward. the wheels are behind the bar. It will still plug up in really heavy hay. the hay gets caught under the bar and wont push to the middle. The higher capacity ones fold forward, and i believe have the wheels on springs. more clearance=less plugging. but for the 100 acres i use it for, mine works fine.
