“These are the times that try men's souls.” | Good, I still have a pair I use to trim bridle path on saddle horses. I never had a horse that could stand electric trimmers. I found used milking inflations work great to store trimmers in. Just cut the small end off a milking inflation that goes to milking claw. Just slide trimmers in the teat end of the inflation.
Your post got me to thinking about my granddad, I remember at age 75 or so he fired up his old shearing drop to shear a few head of ewes. I was amazed at how he handled those ewes, even with a bum knee he sailed right though them. I would die of a heart attack if I had to shear a ewe or two today. Just as bad for a fat boy to shoe a horse as shear a sheep.
