NNW Nebraska | Probably should be a duely at least. We get around 6000# on our 5x12, and it ain't all silage. Does have 2x12 side boards.
Could also put a pto on back of a pickup, or if you had a bale bed woth engine driven hydraulic pump, could put a hydraulic motor on wagon.
Transmission mounted PTO should be strong enough to drive a kelly Ryan.
Get one with springs if you drag it with a pickup, or going that far with a tractor.
Would need a loooong wheel base, 12 ft long box + length of cross conveyer.
They make a 14 ft one and can also get one with the vack end sloping back si it us longer at top.
4x10 might be better fir a pickup , but still might have to length en the frame
