For those of you that run class 9 combines, I am looking for some stats. How many acres a year did you cover? About how many hours? What kind of Bu/Hour can you put through it in corn? Acre's per hour in beans? We would need to cover about 3,600-3,800 acres split between corn (130-200 BU/A Ave) and beans (50-65 BPA Ave). Wondering how long it would take if we go from 2 combines to one.
In that corn bushel range I'm running a Class 7 combine with 12 row head and seeing 4000 bushel an hour. More importantly you can just leave the hydro set that 6 miles an hour. In the corn one machine with a couple buggies and trucks & you could cover a lot of Acres. But for soybeans I'd rather have two machines to help wipe it out quicker and then have a backup machine for corn.
For that amount of Acres I personally would rather have two machines. |
