Actually, some of the most frightening power hopping I've been in was on super dry ground. I was really surprised the axles could take what happened.

Yes, we went thru adjusting tp front to rear, side to side, everything. Tractor dealer (unnamed) suggested it was because we had switched to radial tires which were more prone to power hopping. This was a few years ago. I believe JD now has a 4wd version with front suspension to counter the problem.

Haven't had a bit of trouble since we went to tracks w/hopping.
