South Central MN | Looks similar to the furrow cruiser I use, except with the spike rotated slightly. Have used the furrow cruiser to no-till soybeans (and corn) into a clay-loam soil and worked well here, and they also work in conventional till as well. The ones I have can collect dirt in less than ideal wet ground situations, so be aware of that. Should be similar performance from the Yetter based on looks.
If you have the OEM smooth rubbers, just about anything will work better in no-till!
*Note* might not be as big of a deal with soybeans but should try to get the seeds to the bottom of the trench, I have Keetons with mojo wires on them for that purpose, as the wheels I have will leave the upper portions of the seed trench looser than what the OEM rubbers would, but have noticed they are designed to somewhat pack soil around the seed. | |
