| Got a 2000 model, been a good tractor. Did the waterpump at about 4000, rolled in bearings at the same time because the pan was leaking. The bearings looked fine. The tractor is in the shop now doing the center section, not one of Deere's better efforts. Did the front axle bearings, as they were ready, checking rears now. As long as you haven't cranked the fuel up on it, they are really nice tractors,,wouldn't worry about the motor for a second. Ours gets lots of cart duty, and has planted many acres. It my seem gutless compared to a 400hp tractor, that being said most of the time, we run ours at less than full RPM | |
