Subject: Cat exhaust studs

Lancaster, Co. PA
I'm replacing broken studs on this CAT motor. They were not very tight in the head. I'm a little concerned that they were backing off and actually caused the breakage. I've used red locktite on stuff like this before. Would it be a bad idea to use a dab of red on the threads before I put the studs back in the head? Also, is there a torque spec for the nuts on these studs
