| The injection pump will need to be taken to the NH dealer or a pump repair shop to have the pump properly timed for installation. You also need to have the engine timing at the correct position before installing the pump back onto the engine. There is no information on how to do this in the service manual. There are no accessable timing marks at the flywheel. There is a procedure which is fairly simple to do and only takes a little time to make the tools necessary for the engine timing. If the dealer can not help you, you can find this information at Haytalk.com. At the top of the page are some pinned threads. Click on My NH Repair etc. Go to the first page and scroll down the list of topics until you come to the skid loader section. There you will find a PDF file with the instructions on how to time the engine, make the tools and how to use them. You will need to join the forum to view the file.
