I bought the neighbors R65 this fall and checked into putting the gleaner draper on it. I was told roughly $6500 to do it, but think that included some cost for single point hookup, which is on his combine already. Have to investigate more this winter and also check out Macdon options.
Would that be same situation on R62?
Hi Yote -
I also just started looking into it. I decided after this fall that I was not going through another bean harvest without a draper after demoing four of them. The problem I have is that my favorite R62 does not have lateral tilt. It already had single point hookup which helps.
It looks to me to be a lot easier to convert a R62 to run a Macdon because they will tilt/float laterally within the Gleaner specific Macdon adapter plate. I'm afraid the use of a Gleaner draper will require lateral tilt to be installed, as they appear to use that for all flex sideways?
My 1500 engine houred R62 may be relegated to only corn harvest from now on if that's the case. |
