Subject: Precision V Set Bean Meter

mascoutah, IL
Just sold my Kinze 3600 12/23 box planter. I had added v set for the corn rows about 5 years ago which is a huuuuuge improvement over the finger pickups. Still ran the brush meters for beans. I'm getting a 16/31 bulk fill that has finger pickups that will get switched over also. My question, is it worth the extra $5,000 to do all the bean meters also with the v sets. Will they plant larger seeds than brush meter? On the kinze I could plant to around 2500's before we had to switch plates. Also how much work is the process of switching from corn to beans on the v set. Before I just had an extra set of boxes. Would just unhook the vac tubes at the meter, zip tie them out of the way, and put another set of boxes on that had the bean meters already on.
