I agree. The warmer, moister air from inside is seeping up into the attic and the moisture will condense on the colder roof. If enough condenses, it will run down and cause water stains around the area of the ceilings that are around the outside of the room. BTDT!! But not because of covering the whirlybird vents, but a poorly vented roof.
