I had the same problem with a Samsung Infuse (2011). Needed to run a program, but it needed Android version 3.x or higher. The Infuse was running version 2.x. I searched the internet and found that I could hack it so that the newer version would run on my "old" Infuse. But it never ran right and I finally gave up and bought a new phone (Galaxy S7).

According to Wikipedia: your S3 was launched with Android 4.0.4 "Ice Cream Sandwich", was updated to Android 4.3 "Jelly Bean", and can be updated to Android 4.4 "KitKat" on variants with 2 GB of RAM.

If you can update, that still puts you back 4 generations: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history and the app may still not work. Good luck
