Central Illinois
If you are using the EZ Guide 500 for guidance then it is just as accurate as the FM1000. The increased number of satellites from Glonass really only helps with uptime in poor coverage areas to maintain enough for a satellite RTK fix or in vertical applications (like Tiling) where VDOP is important. I still run both (FmX's on Glonass and 500's) and I never really have a problem with the older 500's maintaining RTK fix in my area.

If a 750 is RTK unlocked it is already unlocked for OMNI.

IMHO it is not worth it to pay the unlocks on the 750. You are better off selling what you have and buying a used unit already with the unlocks. I am not a fan of the 750's. If guidance line management is important then I would look for a used FmX or TmX. If you have good luck with your RTK EZ-500, then another one of those would be your bargain buy as you can probably get a used RTK 500 for less than one unlock or the value of your WAAS 750.

Good Luck!
