| Before the election our republican Congressman said, on the record, that if it looked like trump was going to go further with tariffs, the republicans would stop it. He said it twice so I don't think it was a mistake. I think the midterm election results and the GM layoff announcement tipped the balance against trump. If he had gone ahead with the tariffs there would have been an open revolt among the republicans because they know that any chance for 2020 or even the next 20 years would be gone.
I predict that 90 days from now, you'll won't hear anything further about tariffs and by next year, they will be a distant memory. | |
