Middle Tennessee | Who knows, tariffs were like a triple whammy...Right about the same time, emerging markets collapsed, the South American currencies collapsed (coincidence?), and South American farmers got a shot at planting beans with huge cash premiums and a superdepressed currency...then there was the hit to US demand...who knows where we would be if the real were 10% higher, and there weren't cash premiums to put some real verve into planting...Its like a scifi novel trying to understand what would have happened, but here we are...Fundamentals are much much worse than board price now. | |
