Dad used to do that a long time ago also about 20 years ago when we had square bales would put 20-30 bales on a trailer and then go out in the pasture let the tractor drive slow probably 1/2MPH or so and jump off and go back and start pitching bales off cows always seemed to stay out of the way as the were occupied with the hay you had already thrown off.
