Middle Tennessee | Just peeked at coffee, have NOT been watching, too absorbed with wheat and beans! It looks like it's just sitting there in the lower 3rd of the range...If I were trading it, I'd check in with the Brazilian currency daily, and the CFTC weekly!
The dollar: You are short, right? I think that's good, but you should have a hard stop. Evidently year end shows cyclical highs...Here is a problem I have with the dollar: One of the fundamentals mentioned ALL the time to be supportive, is the large federal spending and deficits. But wait, that is never supportive of any foreign currency, Euro, real, peso, whatever....But somehow here, large deficits mean strong dollar....No big deal, but contradictions like that, even with perhaps a grain of truth, are signs of extended markets making stuff up to justify themselves. | |
