| No one told me to do that, but I sold a 1060 SX call this time last year to cover about 25% of my production. I made .3325 on it..... too bad the market went down 1.85.
I'm young, and I took a chance to learn a lesson. This was all about trying to get my head around how this would work and how I would manage it. I picked the right call, 10.60 was the high multiple times back in the spring, but I was too paralyzed by the fear of getting slammed on it to capitalize on the marketing opportunity. Obviously I would have been much better off being patient and selling 10.60 futures. But I get to farm again next year, and will be smarter when I do it, so I'll take the experience and move on. | |
