SW WI | Don’t know if you’re talking wean to finish or feeder to finish. I’ll go with what I know. Let’s assume a 21 wk turn on a feeder (35 lbs) to finish (285 lbs). Gives you 2.47 turns per yr. What death loss due you want? I’ll assume zero even tho that is unrealistic. I’ll take 9.25 bu/ corn/hd, no distillers fed. Then approximately 140 lbs of meal per hd.
2400 x 2.47= 5928
5928 x 9.25= 54834 bu of corn
5928 x 140= 829,920lbs of meal.
I don’t know anyone over 30% inclusion rate of distillers. So if you whack 30% off your down to 6 bu/hd and meal gets cut some. I don’t have that conversion right in front of me so can’t give numbers on that
