You would think a 1,000 or 1,250 bushel cart would be able to operate at close to capacity without breaking a wheel or spindle. Our problem is the majority of the weight might be on one wheel.

Sometimes you just need lots of carts. Also not getting the bottom side totally loaded while the top side is empty also helps.

Also to the OP try to get at least an 800-850 bushel cart as they are about the same weight empty up to that point and then it is up to you how full to fill and probably better set up for floater tires versus the smaller carts. From storage time to truck load you are a lot closer to a semi load then.
