NECIL | We fall strip with a 12r30” 3pt Strip-Cat and come back in the spring with a 16r30 2pt drawn planter with no problems. Might have to bump the line here and there to get on the strips perfect but works well for us. We started running a freshener bar with some fert a few years ago which helps a lot but isn’t necessary to make it work. We used to strip with a 12, plant with a 12 and harvest with an 8 row head with no major problems before the 16 row planter came along. Auto steer helps the program out. | |
