Government is responsible for creating an environment in which personal and economic freedom can thrive. This is what the Soviets, Cubans, and the rest of the government worshiping societies got wrong or were unable to do.
To say government doesn't create wealth is also wrong. Wealth is created by productivity gains. The military industrial complex cannot exist without government and look at the things it has given us since the end of WW2:
Jet travel
Internet
Interstates
Microprocessors
GPS
Cell Phones
Space Flight
Medical technologies
To just say government is an endless black hole of uselessness is to ignore facts and history.
Clearly you are not an employer. Internet, cell phones and microprocessors have only DECREASED productivity.
