Have you had someone in the cab moving the shifter while someone is down by the transmission watching the cables to see what is happening?
This is what you need to check out. There are two cables - if I remember correctly, one is moved when the lever is moved right and left, and the other cable moves when lever is moved forward and back. They get sticky and you can take a pry bar or tire spoon and help them a bit until they move back and forth again. |
