Subject: RE: Roasting soybeans in the dryer

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan

Within the last couple of days I was reading an article about feeding whole soybeans to cattle.  (Wish I could find that article to pass onto you.)

Granted, I'm talking whole beans versus your roasted beans, but the article was clearly stating that soybean prices have to get down into the four dollar range to compete with corn gluten or distillers as a feed source.  Maybe roasting the beans will make up enough difference, but your son might want to research the economics of roasting and feeding soybeans to feed cattle.
