Southern IL Randolph County | Have had that happen here twice on 2 different Gleaners we have owned. The first time I just had a big mess to clean up. The second time it happened was on a machine we had just traded for and I had started the day before, and moved it and failed to close the shed doors overnight. The coons jaw bones stuck through the radiator and we had a lot of work to tear it down for repair. As much as I hate doing it all the time, I always crawl in the engine compartment and take a good look in the radiator shroud area before starting the machine. Coons are a royal pain in the rear. It is just one of those bad luck situations. Happens to all colors from what I understand. |
