hang on to it: I found an American-made cable-pull years ago, was able to rebuild it. They are still made, cost about $150 ! Somehow, some way, what you need should turn up Just keep asking & looking: may find another with a good screw & broken jaw. ALSO, a few machine shops are able to cut ACME thread...you may be able to find one
