2 separate topics in your posts. Ins coverage and basis. They aren't intertwined. You know that right? Wide basis is never in the favor of the producer. However, if they would have used the avg chart time frames to lock in basis, although wider than normal, it would be better than now. Right? Ins companies are not in the business to loss money. Doesn't mean they are always right but they are pretty good w/long term numbers. Kinda like making early sales, might not be right every year, but long term...……..? If this was easy, i'd own an island some where. |
