SW MN | Sale guy we talked with said he would stop out often and sweeten/bitter it up, especially the first couple weeks to get it set right...Quoted no more than .33ยข/day/hd depending on the mix... Neighbor there has used it and was very happy, said driver was "Jonny of the spot" when called...He feed it on stalks then with cane hay when they were calving, cows were in great condition...lick tubs are an easy source of protein on stalks but have gotten more expensive and the loomix would have a complete mineral (custom made) in it...Our stalk fields are few miles away and we don't have a good way to store cake....By using it during calving (Feb 15-Apr 15) we would eliminate grinding and using the mixer wagon, roll out cane bales...Great uncle used it around home years ago, was told at that time they drank it like water so still on the fence.. | |
