Guess I am confused why you are so excited to wean at 4.5 months old and then put the most expensive gain you possibly could on a baby calf right when grass is getting good and green.
Leave on cow until Aug/Sept. pull and sell at 600lbs and save all that wasted creep feed money. Make the cows make you money instead of giving the Purina guy all your money.
