Monett Missouri | Ben, lets do some math..... 110 units of Nitrogen $49.50 2 ton litter $50. so thats $99.50. Chem costs $22.50 application costs. $21. grand total=$143. Yielded $450 acre of seed, 1.65 ton/acre of low quality hay. 30 days grazing for 80 cows and now the grazing has begun again. Put whatever value you want on the hay and grazing. I will take that every year. Edit: If you just want to look at the fall fertilizer and grass growth it's still cheaper than feeding/buying hay.
