The prices or policies on pricing the feeds are set in advance. The owner of the cattle is charged for the actual feed fed plus an agreed upon mark up to cover feed storage, shrink, handling and processing. For instance, corn is the local market bid plus 10-15 cents. Corn silage is 10X the marked up corn price (at 35% DM). Wet co products are +10%, dry co-products are +5%.

Yardage rates vary from 25 - 40 cents depending on the type and quality of the facilities.
