On the 5th year with my Resounds. I have not had any issues with them falling out except like John said, when taking off shirt, or other rare occasions.

As far as the "tinny" sound quality.....your audiologist should be adept enough to fine-tune the aids to your ears, or rather, your satisfaction. I used to get a "crackling" noise and it took a couple of visits, but she was able to tweak frequencies to remove this noise to my satisfaction.

The audiologist is the key component in this, regardless of brand of hearing-aid.
