Auto swath is not going to a partial swath to make up for overlap, especially if you're on wass and were talking about a foot or less. Here's an example, if you have a 25' head and are on 30" rows cutting with the row that would be 10 rows and exactly 25' so that's what you would set you header width at in your setup. Now if you take that same head and want to cut at an angle then you need to create another header in your setup(and another configuration) that would have a cutting width of say 24' because you can't manually drive straight enough and cut a full 25' all the time, even with auto steer you would probably have something like 24.5' in your header setup.

You could have 2 configurations in your monitor, one with a 25' head + combine and one with a 24' head + combine and use either one depending on how you want to cut the field. These are just examples of what could be done, maybe your on drilled beans and cut at an angle all the time.
