Just my .02, but we are much happier with crop lifters vs milo guards, but maybe we didn't run the right kind of guards I don't know. I just love how crop lifters work in downed milo. I think we do lose a little but not enough to worry about, imo.
It seems like if you are gonna grow milo you will nearly always have a few weeds and some milo that is down, and guards don't work very well for either!
