Central Iowa | I used to have a 6400. When I encountered the hard to start problem I found the rubber fuel lines were wet on the outside with fuel. As those lines aged they became somewhat porous and they would allow air into the lines when the tractor engine wasn't running. Replace all of the lines with new quality lines and the tractor will start like a new one. I also replaced the fuel pump 3 times while I owned that machine. | |
