Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS | Didn't read all the responses but I recommend almost any biography of someone who actually accomplished something. People like Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, George Washington Carver, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, etc. As far as history is concerned check out "The Jefferson Lies" by David Barton, anything by Shelby Foote, Bruce Caton, McKinley Cantor, Michael Shara (sp?), etc. If you like something dealing with what's going on in the world today check out books by Dave Miller (mostly published by Apologetics Press) and Brad Harrub (mostly published by Focus Press). Lighter, but insightful, reading can be had with books by Andy Andrews. For fiction check out Clive Cussler, Tom Clancy, et. al. Also Louis L'Amour. Zane Grey is pretty good but I prefer L'Amour. |
