S.E. South Dakota | In thirty years i farmed seen guys go broke a lot faster on poor dirt then good. Poor dirt brings almost has much rent as good. Any ground around here not farmed isn't worth farming. A friend of mine got eighty acres rent free for four years for clearing the brush off it. Planted it four years and never got crop. Flooded out every year. Could not insure it. Now its in 99 year crp. | |
