The cable trimble normally uses is RG-58 coax and the cable ends TNC connectors. You can buy connectors that screw together rather than use a special crimp tool but I wasn't impressed with the one that I used to repair a cable. Might have just been the connector that I brought through. Wouldn't be too hard to make your own cable through. Somewhere that deals with ham or CB radios might be able to help you too.
