Renville County, MN | We ran a 8 row Harvest Tech on a 9610 for several years. We put a cooler on the reverser. We made one and put a cooler core that ran up by radiator in order to get rid of the heat. We did not put direct drive on instead we removed spring from lower variable sheave and put a piece of well casing in place of it and then beefed up the idler pulley mount in order to tighten the belt. Removed the hose off the upper variable so that it could not get hooked up by accident. We usually had to replace the belt off the electric clutch once every season. If we did it at beginning of corn harvest it would last all year but if we did not it would not make it all the way through the season. Other than that belt we had no issues and that cooler kept the reverser nice and cool. We ran a pressure gauge so that in case a hose broke on cooler for some reason you should notice it. | |
