| Theyre just linear actuators. I've never had that part of them apart, but they're pretty simple. A motor that turns a screw. Reverse ploarity to make it go in the opposite direction. If yours is junk, I'd tear it apart to see where it's breaking and decide how to proceed.

Most come with internal settable stops so you can find one with a close stroke to what you need and adjust it once you get it ready to install. | |
