Sometime you need to be close by when we are making tamales, so you could have a dozen to take home.
We normally make 2-3 batches ( one batch yields about 11 dozen) around Christmas time for neighbors and landlords as well as ourselves. Makes a great gift for folks who don't get homemade tamales very often.
We even have a trade with some of our Korean friends. They make homemade egg rolls. YUM!!. We trade a couple dozen tamales with them for a similar number of egg rolls.
