Subject: RE: cleaning help

central - east central Minnesota -

Brassring - 7/30/2018 12:10 Been helping around the house since it's raining outside, I have some cabinet doors over the stove that have a greasy film on them from over the yrs. what can I use to take the film off without hurting the finish, still want them to shine after I'm done and I REALLY don't want to refinish the doors. have tried a few household cleaners but the doors still feel sticky. TIA Bob

If it's really built up - all those cleaners listed will not cut into the grease soaked into the grain of the wood. Been there, tried all those and even sanding to refinish the doors and sides. Ended up getting a whole new kitchen cabinets. Yes, it's possible to clean some of the grease off with those products, but it'll never all come out. Wife (and I admit, me too), couldn't live with that old stinky grease in the old cabinets - plus, it stunk, once you start trying to remove it.

Good luck.
